Trace the actual path
Measure every surface the garland will follow, including turns, drops, swags, and sections hidden behind signs or mechanics. A ten-foot table does not automatically need ten feet of garland: end drape, a gathered center, or a serpentine path changes the total. Use flexible measuring tape or string along the intended route, then measure the string.
Separate visible footage from connection footage
Garlands joined end to end need overlap so the connection does not read as a gap. Arches and stair rails may also require extra footage at anchor points. Record visible length, connection allowance, and installation buffer as separate numbers so the team understands why the order is longer than the straight dimension.
Match variety to placement
Silver dollar eucalyptus provides broad round leaves, seeded eucalyptus adds clustered texture, and mixed garlands can create more visual depth. A narrow dining table may need a restrained profile, while a mantel can support more width. Confirm whether plates, candles, serving pieces, signage, or handrails must remain clear.
Turn measurements into an install sheet
Give every garland run its own row with the destination, variety, measured route, drape or overlap allowance, total footage, setup order, and venue-approved attachment method. Label physically separate runs even when their lengths match. This gives the receiving team a countable handoff and lets installers check each piece against the measured plan before anything is placed.

Fresh eucalyptus and greenery bunches may be ordered by 9 AM Pacific for same-day shipment; handmade garlands must be ordered by 2 PM Pacific one business day before shipment. They ship Monday through Friday for delivery Tuesday through Saturday, and delivery about two business days before use is generally recommended. This gives the team time to receive, inspect, organize, and prepare before installation.
