Broad eucalyptus: one leaf scale or a mixed texture

Silver Dollar Eucalyptus creates a repeated round-to-oval leaf profile. Silver Dollar + Seeded Eucalyptus keeps the broad rounded base and adds finer branching stems. Choose between a more consistent silhouette and two visible scales of eucalyptus foliage.

Compact blue-green eucalyptus

Baby Blue Spiral Eucalyptus shows a smaller, closely spaced rounded-to-oval leaf pattern. Compare its dense center line and naturally projecting tips with the clearance around place settings, signs, doorways, and other working surfaces.

Two-sided foliage with deliberate contrast

Magnolia pairs broad glossy green faces with warm brown backs. Olive uses narrow deep-green leaves with paler undersides. Choose the leaf scale and contrast that suit the palette, then plan turns from the main guest-facing angle.

Layered leaves or a feathery fern pattern

Bayleaf reads as narrow, overlapping leaves with tonal movement. Leatherleaf Fern creates a finer repeated frond pattern. Review both close-up and full-run images when deciding how much individual leaf detail should show.

Compare each finalist at two viewing distances

At room distance, compare the overall line, visual density, and contrast against the surface. Close up, compare leaf shape, spacing, and texture. Because fresh foliage varies naturally, use current images as selection guides rather than exact promises; keep one variety across a continuous run, or label every planned variety change on the install sheet.

Choose the requested arrival from the event date

We usually recommend delivery two business days before use: Friday for Monday events, Saturday for Tuesday events, and Tuesday for Wednesday events when available, otherwise Saturday. Holidays and product-specific cutoffs may move recommendations earlier.

Use the live calendar instead of a hand-calculated ship date

Handmade garlands use a 2:00 PM Pacific cutoff one eligible business day before shipment. Weekends and observed federal holidays change which dates can be offered, so confirm the requested date shown on the current product page or Custom Garland Builder before finalizing the production schedule.

Name the receiver and the holding area

Assign one person to receive the full shipment, compare the cartons and labeled runs with the order plan, and photograph any visible transit concern before pieces are moved. Reserve a clean, cool, protected holding area away from direct sun, heat sources, foot traffic, and installation hardware.

Keep every run tied to its destination

Carry the room, surface, variety, finished length, and installation-order label from the measurement sheet through receiving. Keep connected sections together and support the full garland while moving it so the install crew can identify each run without reopening the footage plan.

Protect the setup window

Record delivery access, venue access, crew call, inspection, and guest-ready times as separate milestones. Assign the person who can approve a reroute or attachment change so a receiving question does not consume the installation window.

Confirm every surface and venue rule

Photograph each table edge, mantel, railing, arch, doorway, sign, or wall on the run list. Record the material and finish, then obtain venue or property approval for the exact attachment method; do not assume tape, hooks, wire, nails, or clamps are permitted.

Test the mechanics before event day

Build a representative garland section and test the planned support on a comparable approved surface. Check the loaded connection from the guest-facing angle, confirm that it does not slip or mark the finish, and document how the hardware will be installed and removed.

Map clearance and protected zones

Mark doors, aisles, handrails, service paths, place settings, signs, lighting, heat sources, and venue-restricted areas on the installation plan. Keep the finished line within the venue's access, fire-safety, and guest-clearance requirements rather than deciding placement during setup.

Pack sections in installation order

Match each labeled garland run to a floor-plan zone and pack its approved hardware separately. Assign the installer, access time, tools, and any venue-approved ladder or lift requirement before loading in so the crew can place one complete zone at a time.

Assign inspection and teardown

Name the person who will check every connection before guests enter and the person responsible for removal. Keep the run list through teardown, count reusable hardware, remove only by the approved method, and leave the surface ready for the venue's final inspection.
